About your presenter
James has over 20 years’ experience in the field of work health and safety, environmental, quality and compliance management including workers compensation. Haven worked in multiple organization both public and private across different State and Federal jurisdiction, where he has held both State and National roles.
He currently holds the position as the Head of WHS & Wellbeing with TAFE NSW since 2016, during his time with TAFE NSW, he has aligned the WHS program from 10 individual institute into a ONE TAFE model, including developing and rolling out TAFE NSW First Safety Strategy aligned to AS48001/45001 and the NSW Government Safety Sector Plan. He has also established and chaired the first Australian Technical education governance committee that includes TAFE QLD, TAFE SA, Dep of Education SA, and TAFE WA.
In his current role at TAFE NSW James deals with all industry and training delivery types that is made up of 2800 courses these include but not limited to Heavy machinery, Construction, Equine, Nursing, and animal husbandry across 173 campuses geographically located across New South Wales, that includes a workforce of 17000 employees and 490,000+ students.
