Agenda (approximate)

12.30pm

Arrival and issuing of VIC passes and a short safety briefing

(You must bring the original version of the ID that you supplied for the VIC pass or you will not be able to participate)

1.00pm to 2.00pm

Manager for Airfield Operations and Safety, Bjorn Nielsen will discuss airfield safety and the impacts of FOD (Foreign Object Debris). Yes we will be walking along the apron collecting FOD. We will be on the ground in close proximity to the aircraft and operations, plenty of photo opportunities.

It is quite interesting to see what FOD is actually out there and understanding the safety impacts is quite an eye opener.

Disposable hearing protection, gloves and garbage bags will be provided for this activity.

2pm to 2:30 pm

Time permitting, we will head back out of the airfield via the international baggage room and one of the baggage experts will highlight how the system works, what it does, and the difficulties the team faces in keeping it running.

Plan B                    In case of inclement weather, we can conduct a more comprehensive tour of the baggage room.
