About your Presenter

Nicole Vernon is the Manager of Safety Health and Wellbeing at Legal Aid NSW. Legal Aid NSW is the largest legal firm in NSW as well as being a State Public Sector organisation. It’s vision is to be a leader in a legal system that delivers fair outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

Nicole has been with Legal Aid NSW for 4 years and in the wider State Public Sector for 27 years in various organisations and roles within Human Resources.  Nicole is a Safety, Health and Wellbeing expert whose work goal is “to make a (positive) difference” – to an individual, to a team to an organisation. Her team won the Mental Health Association – Mental Health Matters Wayahead workplaces award in 2021 for their Mentally Healthy Workplaces Program.
